Tone News has been contacted by Bishop Henderson School to share a video the teachers and staff have made!
Watch the video at the bottom of this page!
“On March 20th, as with many schools, Bishop Henderson shut their doors to all pupils apart from those of key workers. As a staff, we knew that it could be a while before we had our class back again and ‘normal’ schooling would be put on hold.
We are a very close knit team and we all felt a sense of loss and sadness of not being with our classes and colleagues. To lift our mood and to make our children and their parents smile, members of staff decided it would be a good idea to create a music video.
The song was chosen, the chorus was choreographed and all that was needed was our dancing skills!
Many staff took part including lunchtime supervisors, teachers, cleaners, teaching assistants and the headteacher. After many hours, members of staff edited the clips and added the music. The video was finally completed!
It was launched on our website on Good Friday. Since then it has been viewed thousands of times on Facebook and has had many shares.
We have had numerous messages from people on how this made them smile. We are extremely proud of our children and parents of our school on how well they are coping with the current situation.
As a staff team, we miss everyone very much and can’t wait until we can all be back together again. We seem to have adopted a motto; Keep Smiling which is what we intend to do.”
