Did you know that there is a way to help you with any debts? A local organisation which has been developed from a community initiative of St James Church.
Taunton Area Debt Advice (TADA), is the charity which helps people who are struggling with personal debt and their help and advice is FREE, so you won’t be adding to your debt.
The Taunton based charity is now moving from its office accommodation in The Crescent, to work within the offices of Citizens Advice which is based at St Mary’s House in Magdalene Street.
Graham Reid TADA’s centre manager, has told Tone News:
“The facilities are more publicly accessible to our clients and there is an obvious match in our values and professional standards. Many people suffer the blight of personal indebtedness and this move will enable us to help more clients”.
Chief Officer of Citizens Advice Taunton, Jon Shoesmith has welcomed the move, recognising the value of a closer partnership between the two agencies who both hold Financial Conduct Authority approval and train their debt advisers to the same high standards.
TADA, which is a charity, offers fully confidential advice and practical support to help clients become debt free with no charge and brings much needed hope to its clients. It is also a member of Community Money Advice the national charity which has 1300 volunteers who work in 160 debt advice centres across the United Kingdom.
