Tone News has been contacted by Peter Renshaw, the Chairman of the League of Friends to advise that their shop remains open in MPH for the benefit of NHS staff:
“The League of Friends Musgrove Park Hospital thanks everyone who has recently answered our appeal to help in the League of Friends Shop.
However, with the cancellation of nearly all outpatient appointments and with severely restricted patient visiting during the coronavirus crisis, the need for volunteers to help in our Shop is no longer there and we would ask you instead to become a volunteer NHS responder to offer support in local communities.
Please go onto the hospital’s website for further details www.tsft.nhs.uk
In addition to offering free coffee from its shop to all hospital staff during the COVI-19 pandemic, the League of Friends has set aside a large contingency fund to support Musgrove Park Hospital with the purchase of equipment if needed.
This would not have been possible without the generous support of the public who for over 60 years have donated money or left legacies to the League of Friends. Again our sincere thanks for your continued support.
The League of Friends Musgrove Park Hospital is pleased to be able to help the hospital during this difficult time and thanks everyone who has supported us now and over the last 60 years.
If you would like to donate, please visit our ‘How to Give’ page on our website
At this critical time, please be as generous as you can. Thank you.”
Peter Renshaw – Chairman, League of Friends
