Taunton Firewalk in March (2022) to raise cash for CHSW
Another Taunton Firewalk has been organised by the team at Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW) and promises to be anevening of ‘red-hot’ fun!
If you consider yourself to be a ‘fearless fundraiser’ then here comes your invite to get involved with one of the shortest, but hottest charity walks of your life.
The Firewalk on Castle Green is being held to raise vital funds for Children’s Hospice South West.
The challenge happens on the 17th March and will be led by two-time firewalk Guinness World Record breaker Scott Bell.
Scott, who is internationally known as one of the world’s leading experts on firewalking, will be on hand to help participants navigate a path of hot coals at temperatures of 1,200˚F in bare feet.
CHSW event fundraiser Kate Romo has told Tone News:
The Taunton Firewalk is an event that will push your boundaries, challenge your perceptions and make for an unforgettable evening.
It’s the hottest, shortest sponsored walk you will ever do and a fantastic opportunity to get together with friends or work colleagues and do something very special to help provide vital care for local children with life-limiting conditions and their families.
All participants will receive a free firewalk T-shirt and tickets are now on sale at the early-bird price of just £25. But get in quick as places are limited.
If you want to tak part, you are being asked to try and raise £100 in sponsorship, money that will help CHSW provide care for children such as Gracie Potter from Taunton, who visits CHSW’s Little Bridge House children’s hospice near Barnstaple in North Devon.
Gracie, 16, has a rare progressive disorder that affects her nervous and immune system and she has lost much of her mobility over the years.
The Taunton Firewalk starts at 7pm following a training and safety briefing, with photos and presentations after. To book your place, visit the CHSW website now!
