Ofsted have awarded Wellesley Park Primary School a ‘GOOD’ rating
Wellesley Park Primary School in Wellington, have plenty of reasons to celebrate this week, after OFSTED deemed the school to be ‘Good’ in all areas.
During the full, two-day inspection, OFSTED noted improvements across all areas of the school, particularly noting: excellent pupil behaviour, full inclusivity, well supported SEND provision, broad and balanced curriculum, strong leadership and effective teaching, throughout the school.
The inspectors praised the school’s values and ethos, stating they were clearly evident as ‘pupils display positive attitudes and take pride in their work.’
The report also made a special note of the attention that the school pays towards delivering lessons which foster all individual students’ interests and passions.
This good outcome is achieved through a strong collaboration between leaders and teaching staff, whose ambitious new curriculum aims to develop pupils’ knowledge and skills.
Headteacher, Carly Wilkins has told Tone News:
We are delighted with our recent Ofsted report which acknowledges the hard work and dedication that all of our staff and pupils put into their work at Wellesley Park Primary School.
It was recognised that, everyone makes sure pupils enjoy school, learn in a stimulating and supportive environment whist feeling safe and cared for as is evidenced by pupils eagerly bouncing into school each morning.”
