Two dads from Wellington are launching an innovative book experience for children.
Aaron Warren, a teacher at Wellington School, and Mark Gladstone-Smith, Managing Director of local print company Carly Press, have fired up their creative imaginations to create a book subscription business, called Let’s Go Read.
The service aims to deliver the best books to the front door of primary-aged children alongside an exciting range of activities and video content.
Aaron, who teaches English, has told Tone News:
We both believe that reading and sharing books is one of the most important things you can do for your child and we want to inspire other families to feel the same.
As a teacher, I frequently get asked the question: ‘What can I do for my child at home?’ This is the answer. “We want to give children the opportunity to be excited about books through an engaging delivery service.
On top of picking two books of different genres each month, we will be working closely with a host of publishers, authors, industry experts and teachers to deliver a package which brings the family together through the power of books.
Suddenly the overwhelming choice for the next book has been made easy.
As well as two books per month, the service offers a personalised message from the adult providing the subscription, free resources from publishers, activities and exclusive video content which will give parents the confidence to read with their children.
The books can be picked from five different subscriptions which cover all ages up to 11+, with sibling packages also available.
The business will take orders from December 1 – go to the Let’s Go Read website
